Bicycle ride led by Anurag Thakur raises awareness about drug misuse in Una

Today, Anurag Thakur, a union minister, took part in three separate events hosted by the BJP units in the Chintpurni, Gagret, and Haroli Assembly seats.

At Ambedkar Bhawan in Amb, the subdivisional headquarters of the Chintpurni sector, the minister spoke to a public gathering. The two main topics of the show were “road safety and drug free India.”

Speaking at the event, Anurag urged everyone, but especially the younger generation, to respect traffic laws, whether operating a vehicle or riding a two-wheeler, and to be conscious of the harmful effects of drug misuse. Later, in order to raise public awareness of these causes, he organized a bike rally. Balbir Chaudhary, a former MLA from Chintpurni and head of the district BJP, sat pillion.

In the Gagret Assembly segment, Anurag also laid the cornerstone for a community building in Brahmpur village. Later, he went to Kangar village in the Haroli constituency to speak to the people once again about “Drug free India and road safety.”

Prior to initiating a bicycle demonstration from Kangar, the Union minister spoke at a public event, criticizing the Congress. He mocked the claim made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi that the party had been misleading the public by using his five pledges. “Promises had been made in many other states, which have remained unaddressed, prior to the false guarantees given by the Congress in Himachal Pradesh,” he said.

Congress politicians, according to Anurag, were progressively abandoning their party. He claimed that the Congress could not maintain a flock of only 43 MLAs for even 15 months, raising concerns about how the public expected the party to live up to the promises. He was referring to the six Congress MLAs who had recently voted against the Congress Rajya Sabha Candidate in Himachal Pradesh.
