After the celebration of Holi, Delhi’s metro train services will begin at 2:30 pm

In honor of Holi, which falls on Monday, March 25, 2024, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has officially announced that all lines will open for business at 2:30 pm.

As a result, owing to the festival of colors festivities, the metro train services—which are widely considered to be the lifeblood of the nation’s capital—will be briefly unavailable in the morning.

One of the biggest and most popular holidays in India is Holi, which unites the whole country in a brilliant jumble of colors. The DMRC has made the decision to delay the inauguration of metro train services in order to better protect and accommodate passenger safety and convenience.

The DMRC seeks to guarantee that the city’s Holi festivities, which often include sizable crowds and processions in the early morning, do not impede the regular operation of the metro services.

The metro rail services will not operate on their regular timetable, but this is to allow for the celebratory mood and to guarantee that everything runs smoothly after the festivities.

After careful consideration, the decision was made to ensure that the holiday festivities continue unfettered and that the holiday rush won’t cause any type of trouble for commuters.

Normal metro service on all lines will resume at 2:30 PM and run according to schedule, allowing city commuters to go back to their usual schedules. With this timetable modification, the DMRC will continue to prioritize passenger comfort and safety, as it has always done.
