After the Sukhu government faced a crisis, Atul Verma, the new Himachal DGP, was assigned to a significant position

The new Director General of Police for Himachal Pradesh, Atul Verma, was named on Wednesday.

Sanjay Kundu, an IPS officer from the 1991 batch, will be replaced by Verma, who resigned on April 30.

Atul Verma is the Director General of the CID in Himachal Pradesh at the moment. The governor announced his appointment as the new DGP of Himachal on Wednesday morning.

He just got back from a central delegation.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu views Verma as a valued aide, since he was recently entrusted with leading the crucial CID branch after the Congress government’s disastrous Rajya Sabha election campaign, in which six of its MLAs cast cross-party votes for the BJP.
