Amit Shah Is Likely To Attend The December 1 BSF Raising Day Event In Jharkhand

According to a senior BSF official on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to attend the Border Security Force’s 59th Raising Day parade on December 1 in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.

According to BSF IG (Training Centre & School) T S Banyal, the program is being organized for the first time in Hazaribag, which is home to the force’s oldest training facility.

Raising Day was once only celebrated in New Delhi by the BSF, but in recent years, the tradition has evolved. The force staged its first event outside of the nation’s capital in 2021 at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan; the following year, it was hosted in Punjab’s Amritsar.

“On November 30, the Director General of BSF will reveal the identity of the Raising Day’s primary guest. But Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, is probably going to be the main visitor,” Banyal said.

Top BSF brass believes that these crucial roles should not only be located in Delhi but also at the esteemed border guard centers around the nation. He said that the BSF is the front-line fighting force along Bangladesh’s eastern border and Pakistan’s western border. The locals should be aware of this.

This year, the event will take place 10 miles from Hazaribag town at the Rani Jhansi Parade Ground at the BSF’s Meru Center.

Banyal said that representatives from all 11 borders, together with 1,000 troops, would take part in the Raising Day event in Hazaribagh.

The BSF was established on December 1, 1965, as a result of the government’s belief that a powerful central paramilitary force should be developed to serve as frontline soldiers on the frontiers after the Indo-Pakistan conflict in 1965. Its first training facility was established in Hazaribag before being moved to Meru on March 25, 1967.
