An anti-superstition organization is offering a $1,000 reward to astrologers who can correctly forecast election outcomes

Kolhapur: The anti-superstition Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (MANS), founded by the late rationalist Narendra Dabholkar, has issued a challenge to fortune tellers, astrologers, and astrologers from all across India to correctly forecast the outcome of the LS vote in order to earn Rs 21 lakh in cash.

MANS office-bearers said that soothsayers, fortune tellers, and astrologers are often hired for their forecasts of election outcomes, which sway voters and deceive politicians. They also noted that they have issued a challenge to raise awareness of this issue.

Participating astrologers will reportedly be given a series of questions, including which candidate would get the fewest votes, who would win from a certain constituency, how many votes the leading contenders receive, and which party would win the elections and by how many seats.

“The astrologers must also provide the explanations. Political specialists are not up to this job, according to MANS state committee member Rahul Thorat.
