arrived in 2014 with hope, in 2019 with trust, and in 2024 with a guarantee: PM Modi

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he approached the public in 2014 with optimism, in 2019 with confidence, and in 2024 with assurance. The Prime Minister said, “There is Modi’s guarantee across the country and I am giving the guarantee of fulfilling all these guarantees,” while speaking at an election rally at Borkura Ground.

The Prime Minister said, “The North East is a witness to Modi’s guarantee as the Congress had only given the region problems but the BJP has made it a source of possibilities.” Congress encouraged the rebellion, while Modi welcomed the populace and brought about regional calm. He said, “Whatever could not be accomplished in 60 years of Congress rule, Modi accomplished in ten years.”

He added that a “Surya Tilak” event honoring Lord Ram’s birth is being staged in Ayodhya 500 years after it was first celebrated. He said, “Let us participate in the event by turning on our mobile flashlights and sending light and prayers to Lord Ram, even though we cannot join the celebrations in Ayodhya.” “We are celebrating Lord Ram’s birth in his own temple after 500 years, and this is the culmination of centuries of devotion and generations of sacrifice,” he said. “A new atmosphere is prevailing throughout the entire country.”

For the next five years, free rations will be given to everyone without exception, according to the prime minister. Under Ayushman Bharat, those aged 70 and beyond would also get free treatment up to Rs five lakh. This is done to ensure that the medical bills are not a financial burden on the family, as “this son of yours (Modi) will take care of your medical costs.”

He said that three crore new residences will be built for the impoverished during the course of the next five years. He said, “The NDA government upholds the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and makes sure that every citizen receives the benefits to which they are legally entitled without facing any discrimination.”

Modi said that the elimination of “triple talaaq” had liberated Muslim women. “Triple talaq had destroyed the lives of many women and their families, so we made a law against it that benefited not only the Muslim sisters but their entire family,” he said. According to him, the legislation has also helped Muslim women in Assam.

“In the last ten years, Assam has also seen unprecedented development, and good intentions lead to good results,” he said. Congress had purposefully ignored the area for its own gain, allowing them to engage in corruption and looting. But now that things have turned around, the area is benefiting from “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” he said.

The Prime Minister recently dedicated a semiconductor testing plant in Assam, which would provide young people around 15,000 employment. This has been a historically significant and unique move. According to Modi, Assam would soon be acknowledged as a powerhouse for semiconductors.

Along with getting solar panels, the people’s power bills would also be nil since over 3 crore women connected to SHGs will become “Lakhpati Didis,” he said. Every pledge included in the manifesto will be carried out, benefiting the underprivileged, dalits, farmers, and tea garden laborers.

Assamese farmers now get a higher Minimum Support Price (MSP) and will continue to profit from the PM Kisan Samman Nidihi. “I promise you, your dreams are mine.” He said, “Every moment is dedicated to you, your dreams, and the country.”

Modi was in the city to support three NDA candidates who were present at the rally: Phani Bhushan Choudhury of the Asom Gana Parishad, who is running from Barpeta; Jayanta Basumatary of the United People’s Party, Liberal (UPPL) from Kokrajhar; and Bijuli Kalita Medhi of the BJP, who is running from Guwahati.
