At the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai, local trains derails, disrupting harbour line service

Mumbai: On Monday, April 29, local train services on the Central Railway’s Harbour line were impacted owing to a train derailing. At 11:35 a.m., a Panvel 56 local trolley derailed while it was approaching Platform 2 of CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus). There have been no reports of passenger injuries.

Due to the disruption of the Harbour Line services, passengers have been notified by CR that trains heading towards CSMT will be pulled up to Masjid station. Harbour line services to and from Vadala will be running in the meantime.

Right now, the repair is in progress. Regarding Main Line services, there were no consequences.
