At the Jammu event, Shah makes a broad suggestion that the BJP is unlikely to run for three Valley seats

While promising that assembly elections will be conducted on schedule, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made hints that he would not be running for three Lok Sabha seats in Kashmir.

Speaking on Tuesday during an election campaign in favor of BJP candidate Jugal Kishore in the Paloura region of Jammu, Shah blamed the Peoples Democratic Party and the National Conference for bringing the gun culture to Kashmir.

We are not in a rush, I am here to assure all Kashmiri voters. The lotus in the Valley will likewise blossom when we accept your love. We are not concerned,” Amit Shah said.

The BJP has only announced candidates for the Udhampur and Jammu Lok Sabha seats, which will go to elections in the first and second phases, out of the five Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir.

There are rumors that the saffron party may back candidates from non-Congress, non-PDP, and non-NC parties in the Valley instead of fielding its own candidates.

“I’ve come to urge Kashmiri citizens, particularly the younger ones, to support any candidate instead of the three dynasty parties—the NC, PDP, and Congress. Shah underlined that Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and Sonia Gandhi work for their sons and daughters, not for the people.

On the last day of campaigning before the first phase of Lok Sabha polls on April 19, Shah held another rally at Durgapur in the Kotdwar area of Uttarakhand. Stressing the importance of the impending Ram Navami celebration on Wednesday, Shah noted that it will be a historic occasion as it commemorates the birthday of Ram Lalla at a magnificent temple after a 500-year break. This occasion signifies the change from the former makeshift dwelling place for the god to the opulent temple.

At a Durgapur election rally, Union Minister Shah said, “We are fortunate to witness this historic occasion.” The Ram temple controversy has been dragged out by the Congress for many years. Nonetheless, the Modi administration has effectively carried on its promise.
