Thiruvananthapuram’s V Muraleedharan will spearhead a one-day satyagraha, calling for a central investigation into Sidharthan’s demise

V Muraleedharan, a union minister and the BJP candidate in the Attingal seat, would stage a one-day satyagraha at Nedumangad Market Junction on Tuesday, asking that central authorities be given the task of looking into Sidharthan’s murder.

While visiting Sidharthan’s residence on Monday, BJP state leader K Surendran said that the state government was attempting to obstruct the investigation into the event. Surendran also insisted that central authorities be given control of the investigation.

The chief minister’s silence on the matter, the BJP leader stated earlier during a news briefing in Thiruvananthapuram, was concerning. “An unparalleled chaos is descending upon the state.” Given that CPM leaders were responsible for the murder, the CM has refrained from commenting on the matter. He hasn’t spoken anything about it so far. Similar occurrences are being replicated in other areas of the state since the government is dormant,” he said, adding that a senior CPM leader had been given the responsibility of destroying the case’s evidence.
