For the same number of seats in the UP biennial council elections, 13 submit nominations

On Monday, the deadline for submitting nominations, a total of thirteen contenders submitted their papers for a corresponding number of seats in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council’s biennial elections.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) filed three candidates, whereas seven of the candidates are from the BJP and three are from NDA allies.

In front of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other party officials, all seven BJP candidates submitted their nominations.

BJP candidates Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Dr. Mahendra Kumar Singh, Ashok Kataria, Mohit Beniwal, Dharmendra Singh, Ramtirath Singhal, and Santosh Singh were prominent among those who submitted nominations for the Legislative Council.

Additionally, Ashish Patel of Apna Dal (S) submitted his nomination. The fact that he is a minister in the Yogi Government is notable.

Additionally, Yogesh Chaudhary from the RLD and Vichhelal Rajbhar from the SBSP (Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party) submitted their nominations.

The Samajwadi Party has Kiran Pal Kashyap, Guddu Jamali, and Balram Yadav on its ticket.

The nomination papers will be scrutinized tomorrow, and the deadline for withdrawals is March 14.
