Bihar CM Kharge, tearing into Nitish, said he lacks both ideas and values

On Friday, Bihar chief minister and JD (U) president Nitish Kumar was charged by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge of pursuing his political career without adhering to any moral principles.

“Anyone can form a party and go into politics by following certain principles, but Nitish has no ideology or principles,” Kharge said while speaking at a Katihar election rally in favor of Tariq Anwar, the Congress candidate.

Targeting the JD(U) leader for severing relations with the INDIA group and creating a new government with the backing of the BJP, the Congress president said, “You can fool people of the country for once, you can fool some people always, but you cannot fool all people all the time.”

“My uncle has departed, and Tejashwi has told that you should not bring him back. Nitish accidentally found his way to our camp, but he is unable to return. He stated, “People need to be on guard because the BJP and JD(U) are out to swindle you (in the election) again.

In Bihar, the members of the grand coalition are firmly united. Whether the BJP and JD(U) have gained power is irrelevant. “People have not left the coalition just because Nitish left the alliance,” he said.

“The so-called double engine in Bihar meets with frequent accidents, causing the train cars to decouple,” Kharge stated, criticizing the BJP’s partnership with JD(U).

He stated that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is remaining silent, BJP MPs and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat have made it plain that the Constitution will be altered if the BJP was returned to power with a two-thirds majority. Why don’t you respond angrily to such individuals and banish them from the party? Elephants have distinct sets of teeth for feeding and display. Congress wants to be in power to improve the lot of the poor, while the BJP wants to rewrite the Constitution,” he said.

Kharge also took issue at Modi’s assertion that the Muslim League was emblazoned on the Congress platform. He enquired as to whether his party’s polling promises were exclusive to Muslims.

In response to Modi’s claim that 80–90% of the Constituent Assembly’s members were Sanatanis, the Congress president also retaliated.
