BJP puppet Puducherry Chief Minister: MK Stalin

Chief Minister MK Stalin stated at a public gathering in Puducherry on Sunday that Chief Minister Rangasamy is behaving like a puppet of the BJP by putting the national party’s interests ahead of that of the people of Puducherry. Along with promising statehood and the reopening of ration stores in the union territory, Stalin was also campaigning for Congress candidate V Vaithilingam in the Puducherry seat.

Stalin emphasized the need of a new phase of liberation and the historical importance of Puducherry in the independence movement. “Va Subbaiah and others battled for Puducherry’s independence here, in the country of the revolutionary poet Bharathidasan. “Vaithilingam is carrying on his family’s legacy of freedom fighters by participating in a new freedom struggle,” the speaker said.

Stalin also attacked Kiran Bedi’s former government, saying that Kiran Bedi’s actions during Narayanasamy’s time as chief minister “disturbed democracy” by selecting BJP candidates and slashing vital public services. A former IPS officer who is now the governor of Tamil Nadu and represents the BJP’s interests presents us with a comparable issue.

Stalin voiced worries over the present political situation and Rangasamy’s affiliation with the BJP. Rangasamy is under pressure to put the interests of the BJP ahead of the wellbeing of the people of Puducherry. The BJP wants Puducherry to remain a part of Delhi, depriving it of its legitimate sovereignty.

According to Stalin, the INDIA alliance is dedicated to defending secularism, reservations, and social justice. “Unlike the BJP, we pledge an open and accountable government and prioritize the needs of the people.”

Stalin also laid out a number of promises for the development of Puducherry, including economic initiatives to boost local industries and create jobs, infrastructure projects, healthcare improvements (including the resumption of free medical services at JIPMER), and educational reforms (such as the elimination of NEP 2020).

Additionally, he pledged to revive down sugar and cotton factories using modern machinery.
