Bus-dumper accident in Guna, Madhya Pradesh: 13 people are injured

According to an official, the number of people killed in the accident involving a private bus that caught fire after colliding with a dumper in the Guna region of Madhya Pradesh increased to 13 on Thursday.

Another corpse was found at the scene of the collision. Sub-divisional magistrate Dinesh Sanvle told PTI that the dumper driver is most likely to blame for the bus collision.

At around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, the bus collided head-on with the dumper on Guna-Aaron road; as a result, it flipped and caught fire. A senior police officer said that 12 bus passengers were killed and 14 others were injured.

Thirteen passengers were killed by burns on the bus when it caught fire, according to Sanvle. For medical attention, the wounded people were brought to a hospital.

When the tragedy happened, the dumper was moving toward Guna, while the unfortunate bus was traveling to Aaron, according to the police.

Four of the approximately thirty people on the bus at the time of the event, according to Superintendent of Police Vijay Khatri, were able to escape and return home.

According to Guna Collector Tarun Rathi, an investigation into the occurrence is being done by the government.

According to an official, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was traveling to Guna on Thursday morning to visit with the accident victims who were hurt.

He declared that the relatives of the dead would get Rs 4 lakh apiece, while the wounded would receive Rs 50,000 each.

A inquiry into the disaster was also called by the chief minister.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, the minister of civil aviation, described the situation as heartbreaking in a message posted on X late on Wednesday night. She said, “As soon as I learned about the incident, I talked to the collector and SP and gave them instructions to begin a relief and rescue effort.
