By April 26th, new voters may apply for identification at Sirsa DC

The effort in Sirsa to get 100% voter participation, according to District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner RK Singh, focused on educating voters at the block level and emphasized the significance of voting in a democracy. The Election Commission’s rules were followed by the block-level officers (BLOs) to make sure all the appropriate preparations were made at their individual polling places.

At the local Panchayat Bhawan on Monday, the DC addressed the BLOs of the Kalawali and Dabwali Assembly seats. Additionally present were Assistant Returning Officer Abhay Singh from the Dabwali seat and SVEEP Nodal Officer Dr. Vivek Bharati.

The DC instructed the BLOs to check all polling booth amenities, including drinking water, power, and restrooms, in detail and report any deficiencies to the appropriate Assistant Returning Officer’s office. He promised to provide special accommodations for the elderly voters who are 85 years of age or older. Form 12D will be sent to the elderly at their door if they choose not to vote in person at the booth.

He stated that eligible people were urged to apply by April 26 in order to register for a new voter card. They might use the voter hotline or mobile app on the Election Commission’s website to apply for a voter card. By April 26th, those between the ages of 18 and 19 who do not yet have their names on the voter lists may apply online or offline to have their names added. Additionally, they might apply in person at the relevant Subdivisional Magistrate or BLO office. He said that a new voter might register up to ten days before to the nomination date.
