CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena of Vijayawada believes the SAMARTH app is helpful for efficiently monitoring law and order situations

Vijayawada: Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena instructed SPs, CPs, and sector officers to utilize the Security Arrangement Mapping Analysis Response Tracking (SAMARTH) mobile app, stating that it is very helpful for handling law and order issues and taking quick action during the general elections scheduled for May 13 in the State.

According to the CEO, the mobile app is a quick and clever tool for policing; it has critical and common polling stations clearly marked and mapped, allowing for the instant dispatch of mobile parties, striking and special striking teams, and the tracking of police forces’ locations from the control room via a Google map.

He praised and commended Bapatla district’s SP Vakul Jindal for creating the swift and astute mobile law enforcement software SAMARTH for this election cycle and using it in an experimental manner in the district.

At the State Secretariat in Velagapudi on Friday, Bapatla SP Vakul Jindal met with Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena to discuss the features and special characteristics of the SAMARTH mobile app, which is being utilized in their district.

According to him, the district’s main IT department built this program, which has been utilized in an experimental capacity since April 22 and is showing encouraging results. According to him, police officers may make direct calls using this app, and they can simultaneously send out instructions to all 2,000 police officers in the area with a single notice.

Police officers might get warnings and updates from the program even in the event that their phone does not have internet connectivity. He stated that the petitions pertaining to the elections might be transmitted via the app to the relevant police officials and periodically checked.

He informed the CEO that district police officers may use the app to follow the whereabouts of their officers, locate important and frequently used voting places, make direct calls to the control room, and quickly contact law enforcement in regions of conflict.

According to him, the app has the phone numbers and personal information of every police officer and staff member in the area, allowing for periodic tracking of their whereabouts in real time.

The conference was attended by additional CEOs P Koteswara Rao, M N Harendhira Prasad, Bapatla District IT Core SSI Naib Rasul, and others.
