City cagers Shashank was chosen for school nationals, Deep

Nagpur, Haryana: Shashank Ghadge and Deep Bhandarkar, two city guards, have been chosen to represent Maharashtra in the 67th National School Basketball Championship, which gets off on Saturday in Gurugram.

The School Games Federation of India (SGFI) will host the four-day nationals for males ages 17 and above. The competition is scheduled to conclude on April 30.

Following the U-17 Maharashtra School State basketball tournament and selection trials, which were recently conducted at Mumbai’s St Xaviers School, Deep and Shashank were chosen.

Rakesh Maheshwari is the instructor for Shashank at the Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana (SNG). Deep is coached by Sandeep Durugkar is a member of Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh (NBYS).

The Nagpur District Basketball Association (NDBA) president, Sandip Joshi, secretary Bhavesh Kuchanwar, and every district member congratulated Shashank and Deep. tnn
