Congress to Hold Mega Rally in Nagpur on December 28 to Sound Poll Bugle; Kharge, Sonia to Attend

On Thursday, the 139th anniversary of the party’s founding, the Congress is prepared to launch its campaign for the Lok Sabha elections of the next year with its massive rally, “Hain Tayyar Hum,” to be held in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

At a news conference held at the event location on Wednesday, Maharashtra Congress head Nana Patole said, “It will be a historic moment for the people of the country.”

Party officials have announced that Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge would speak during the gathering. The massive event is significant because it is being hosted in Nagpur, the home of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the historic location of “Deekshabhoomi,” where Dr. B. R. Ambedkar accepted Buddhism.

“Hain Tayyar Hum,” or “we are ready,” is the rally’s theme, and it will deliver a positive message throughout the nation. Party MLA from Nagpur Nitin Raut said, “The Congress will sound the bugle for the Lok Sabha elections that are scheduled for next year.”
