Delhi: On Sunday, there was a traffic advisory for Lord Mahavir Nirvana Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam

A warning on traffic restrictions and detours for Sunday’s Lord Mahavir Nirvana Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam has been released by the Delhi Police. A celebration marking the 2,550th anniversary of Lord Mahavir’s nirvana will take place at Bharat Mandapam on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m., according to the traffic warning.

The Union Ministry of Culture is collaborating with the Jain community to organize the event.

It said that a sizable gathering is anticipated, which can have an impact on traffic on the roads near Bharat Mandapam. It also said that no car would be permitted to stop or park on Mathura Road or Bhairon Marg, that general public access will not be permitted, and that any vehicle discovered parked on these roads will be hauled away in order to guarantee efficient traffic management in the area around Pragati Maidan.

The towed cars will be kept in Bhairon Marg’s Traffic Pit, which is in front of Bhairon Mandir. The alert said that there would be a diversion of traffic from the following locations: the Q-Point, Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg.-Subramanian Bharti Marg., Pandara Road-Subramanian Bharti Marg., and Purana Quila Road-Mathura Road junction.

In addition, commuters are asked by the police to stay off of Bhairon Marg, Purana Quila Road, and Mathura Road between the W-Point and the Bhairon Road junction. In order to comply, commuters have been asked to steer clear of or avoid the listed routes and use public transportation as much as possible.

The advice also said that those heading towards ISBTs, train stations, or airports should carefully plan their route and allow enough time for it.
