Dense fog in Delhi causes several domestic and international flights to be delayed

New Delhi: Today’s heavy fog in Delhi has caused sixteen planes to be delayed. 11 international and 5 domestic flights have been delayed, according to officials, as a result of the increasing fog and temperature dip that has affected large portions of north India, including Delhi.

According to the Met Office, Palam, which is close to the airport, had a low temperature of 14 degrees Celsius.

Many were seen seeking cover at the AIIMS night shelter in south Delhi amid the bitter cold, said to news agency ANI. Similar sights of homeless persons holed up at night shelters on Lodhi Road neighborhood beneath thick blankets and quilts were seen elsewhere.
