Student commits suicide after failing the 12th grade test

An eighteen-year-old lad is said to have hung himself in Paonta Sahib today, the day after the results of the Class 12 exam were announced.

Surajpur resident Rohit Chauhan allegedly committed suicide at home. According to sources, Rohit did not pass the test the previous year.

Aditi Singh, the Deputy Superintendent of Police in Paonta Sahib, said that preliminary inquiries indicate that Rohit’s suicide may have been related to the anguish he experienced as a result of his subpar academic standing.

In order to comprehend the reasons that led him to take the drastic action, authorities are also investigating other aspects of the unfortunate tragedy.
