Eight family members were slain on the road in Varanasi

When an SUV carrying eight family members collided with a stopped truck early on Wednesday morning at Karkhiyaanv under Phulpur police station, all eight were instantly dead.

Although he was said to be in a serious condition, a family member’s youngster was believed to have survived the accident.

After visiting Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the dead family, according to the police, was going back to their home in the Pilibhit area.

Around four in the morning, the SUV collided with a truck that was parked on the side of the road.

Two brothers, Mahendra Pal and Damodar, as well as members of their families, were among the dead.They were citizens of the Pilibhit district’s Muzaffarnagar Dudhia Khurd hamlet, which is under the puranpur police station.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of UP, has expressed sorrow over the event. In a post on X from the CM’s official account, the CM conveyed his profound sadness for the deaths caused by a traffic tragedy in the Varanasi area. The district administration authorities have been ordered by the CM to treat the wounded in a suitable manner.
