Election Commission acting as the BJP’s “extended wing,” according to AAP

On Wednesday, the Election Commission of India (EC) was accused by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of favouring the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The poll panel ordered social media site “X” to remove some party messages due to breaches of the Model Code of Conduct, which prompted the AAP to make the accusations.

Priyanka Kakkar, the primary spokeswoman for the AAP, said that the EC was suppressing efforts to reveal the BJP’s “corrupt” activities. The unfortunate thing for the nation is that the EC functions as the BJP’s extended arm. “We have submitted two complaints to the European Commission, but nothing has been done,” she said.

According to Kakkar, the EC quickly suppressed the AAP’s efforts to expose the purported electoral bond fraud, implying “collusion” between the watchdog and the BJP-led government.

The article on the AAP’s official website that centers on the BJP’s purported receipt of Rs 60 crore in electoral bonds from Sarath Reddy is the main source of contention. The party said that the BJP’s financial records show the money route, but their attempts to spread this information were repressed.
