Fire Breaks Out at Electric Hardware Shop in Pune District, Killing 4 Family Members

Fire authorities said that a fire that started at an electric goods store on Wednesday morning in Pimpri Chinchwad town in Maharashtra’s Pune district resulted in the deaths of four family members, including two youngsters.

According to them, the incident happened around 5.25 a.m. at a business within the Pooja Heights building at Purna Nagar in the Chikhli neighborhood of Pimpri Chinchwad.

Four corpses that were sleeping on the mezzanine of the hardware store on the ground level of the building have so far been found, according to a fire officer from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

According to him, the fire has been put out and the cooling process is underway.

Authorities suggested that a short-circuit may have started the fire. However, they stressed that an inquiry is ongoing. According to the authorities, the dead have been named as Chimnaram Chowdhary (48), Namrata Chowdhary (40), Bhavesh Chowdhary (15), and Sachin Choudhary (13).
