Flag march by police and BSF along Abohar-Sriganganagar route

The Punjab police and BSF conducted an extraordinary flag march from the Rajpura barrier on the Abohar-Hanumangarh route this afternoon, after the polling of 40.72 percent of voters in Sriganganagar.

There are now 24 checkpoints on the Rajasthani border, two of which are high-tech, according to SSP Pragya Jain.

According to her, one of the goals of this flag march was to discourage any naughty person from crossing the state line in anticipation of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election. In addition, it was done to provide the people of the Fazilka district with the assurance that sufficient security measures are in place to ensure a peaceful and impartial local elections.
