Noida: A school teacher gets fired after cutting students’ hair to discipline them

According to authorities, a teacher at a private school in this area was fired after a complaint by the parents of roughly a dozen pupils after she symbolically chopped their children’s hair as punishment. Following the event on Wednesday at the school in Sector 168, the incensed parents organized a demonstration on Thursday.

Police were alerted to the situation today, and representatives from the neighborhood Expressway police station visited the Shanti International School to assess the gravity of the situation. Parents of around 12 pupils and the school administration discussed the issue. Following that, the school decided to immediately terminate the teacher’s employment, according to Additional DCP (Noida) Shakti Mohan Avasthy.

Avasthy said that the teacher’s actions were motivated by the fact that she was in charge of the school’s disciplinary procedures and had been pleading with the pupils to cut their hair for days. To reprimand them, she personally chopped their hair.
