FNG Expressway: Seven offers for a DPR consultant were submitted

For the position of consultant for the projected Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway, up to seven proposals have been submitted.

This will be the third freeway to travel through the area, as the tender is expected to start this week.

Sources in the PWD said that the department is expected to choose the agency that will begin work on the project the following month, having already received and reviewed the financial bids for the employment of a consultant.

In December of last year, the department released a call for bids. The goal was to start the work before the Code of Conduct for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was imposed, according to sources, who claimed that at least six of the seven bids submitted within the deadline had been judged to be technically sound. An official made this claim.

According to an official, the highway will shorten the time it takes to go from Faridabad to the significant satellite cities of Noida and Ghaziabad.

According to an official, the 32-kilometer road will run through Faridabad for 10 km and the rest will be in Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources in the district administration, even though the approval was given in principle last year, the hiring of the consultant would quicken the work’s progress.

The Yamuna river divides the city from Uttar Pradesh, and as of right now, there is no direct connection between it and Noida or Ghaziabad. The consultant’s fee is anticipated to be approximately Rs 60 lakh since this would be a joint project between Haryana and UP, with an estimated expenditure of roughly Rs 800 crore.

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which also travels through the city, would be linked to both the FNG and the Greenfield Expressway.

The PWD’s Executive Engineer, Pradeep Sindhu, said that the project consultant’s financial bid would soon be opened in order to guarantee that construction begins on schedule.
