Following an order from the Election Commission, Social Media Platform X removes several political posts in India

Following an order from the Indian Election Commission to remove certain postings, including political commentary from elected officials, political parties, and candidates for office, social networking site X said on Tuesday that it has removed the messages.

X, owned by Elon Musk, declared its disagreement with the commission’s rulings.

“We demand that the Election Commission make available all of its subsequent takedown orders,” X stated.

With over a billion eligible voters, India will host the biggest election in history on Friday.
