Four people were detained by the Bajrang Dal for killing cows in order to frame a “rival.”

The authorities in Uttar Pradesh have apprehended four individuals in Moradabad, including the leader of the Bajrang Dal in the district. Their arrest stems from alleged involvement in instances of bovine slaughter and a plot to falsely implicate a man.

As per law enforcement, the accused, namely Shahabuddin, Jamshed, Monu Bishnoi alias Sumit (the head of Bajrang Dal), and Rajiv Chaudhary, orchestrated two episodes of bovine slaughter as a retaliatory measure against a local resident named Mehmood.

The arrests transpired subsequent to the discovery of bovine carcasses on January 16 and January 28 within the Moradabad district.

On January 16, the severed head of a cow was uncovered on Kanwar Path, leading to the initiation of a case against unidentified individuals.

A subsequent occurrence on January 28 raised suspicions due to its proximity and resemblance to the initial event. Upon thorough investigation, law enforcement unearthed evidence indicating a premeditated conspiracy involving the accused parties.

Hemraj Meena, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Moradabad, revealed that the accused had previously exerted pressure on the police to engage in unlawful activities.

“Failing in their attempts to coerce the police, they turned to contriving the bovine slaughter incidents to falsely implicate the man and highlight the police’s purported inaction in the case, aiming to have the police station in-charge dismissed,” he stated.

Two legal cases have been initiated in connection with the incident.

The police affirm that an ongoing investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to apprehend two other suspects who are currently at large.
