“Commuters may experience more than normal traffic on Mahatma Gandhi Marg, IP Flyover, Rajghat Chowk, Shanti Van Chowk, Saleem Garh Bypass, Bhairon Road-Ring Road, Mathura Road, Shershah Road, C-Hexagon, roundabout of Mansingh Road, Teen Murti, 11 Murti, Sardar Patel Marg, Janpath, Kartavyapath, Zakir Hussain Marg, Barakhamba Road and among others,” said the traffic advisory released on Thursday.

“Commuters are urged to make a detailed trip plan and to avoid the aforementioned highways and intersections during the designated times. Commuters are recommended to utilize the Metro services as much as possible if the trip must be made, it added.

“Passengers traveling to railroad stations would be allowed to utilize their own cars, autorickshaws, and cabs to go to the railway stations in New Delhi and Old Delhi. However, they could experience some traffic congestion and subsequent delays while traveling by car. They are thus urged to maintain enough time available. Passengers are recommended to utilize the Metro services as much as possible for simpler and more easy access to railroad terminals, it said.

Additionally, the traffic advice recommended travelers heading to the airport to take full use of Metro services, particularly the Airport Express Line, which runs from New Delhi Station to Dwarka Sector 21 station through IGI Airport T3.

“City bus services won’t be significantly impacted. According to the actual traffic scenario, they could be diverted off certain route segments in the New Delhi area, it added.

“Motorists are urged to be patient, obey traffic laws and other road regulations, and pay attention to the instructions of Traffic Police officers stationed at all crossroads. To prevent disruption, people are urged to schedule their travel in advance and with enough time to spare.
