Hema responds to Surjewala’s comments by saying, “Learn to respect women from PM.”

Hema Malini, a BJP candidate running for the Mathura Lok Sabha seat, submitted her candidacy today and pledged to finish all unfinished business should she win. Malini is running for a third term. State Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh was with her.

In response to Congressman Randeep Surjewala’s disparaging comments about her, she said that achievers were always singled out. “How will I know that, but they should learn from our PM how to respect women,” she stated in response to the question of why the Congress did not take action against its leader.

“This is my third visit here, and I promise to make sure all development work is finished on schedule,” she said. Hema Malini is matched up against Congressman Mukesh Dhangar.

The completion of the Yamuna cleaning project, the building of 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg, and the installation of a railroad track are important electoral concerns in this seat.

Regarding Yamuna’s cleanup, she said, “It’s not that simple.” Not even in fifty years has anybody done it. It is challenging to complete in ten years. We need another half-century for this. But we’re still going forward. At a public gathering, UP Chief Minister Adityanath spoke in favor of Hema Malini.

NCW files EC complaint against Cong leader.

The BJP candidate Hema Malini was the target of alleged sexist statements made by Congress national secretary Randeep Surjewala, which prompted the National Commission for Women (NCW) to file a plea with the Election Commission (EC) in New Delhi on Thursday.
It said, “The remarks are outrageous and incredibly misogynistic.”
