Holding five kilos of charas, two

Nakodar: Two drug dealers were detained for selling charas by a special division of the Jalandhar (rural) police. The suspects were Gurdial Singh, also known as Bagga, who lived in Indira colony in Nakodar, and Sandeep Kumar, also known as Sonu, who lived in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Nakodar.

Inspector Sukhdev Singh, the investigating officer (IO), said that they had 5 kg of charas and Rs 51,000 worth of drug money collected from them. The IO said that a case had been filed against the suspects under NDPS Act Sections 20, 20-C, 27-A, 61, and 85. Additionally, the cops seized the scooter they were using to transport the contraband. Cash and a mobile phone were taken.

Nakodar: Unidentified individuals have been charged by the Nakodar City police with stealing money and a cell phone from a residence. Mohalla Rehman Pura, Nakodar resident Ram Dareshi Shah reported to the police that on the evening of April 18, robbers broke into his home and took off with a cell phone and Rs 20,000. According to investigating officer Harinder Pal, a complaint has been filed under IIPC Sections 380 (theft in dwelling home) and 457 (lurking house-trespass). OC

A woman selling drugs held

Phagwara: On Thursday night, the Goraya police apprehended a female drug dealer and found 50 grams of heroin in her hands. The suspect, a Goraya resident named Meena Rani, has been identified, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ankur Gupta. She was apprehended by a Goraya police squad under the command of Inspector Madhu Bala when she approached a checkpoint at Dhaleta village while riding a scooter. Her scooter was also seized by the cops. SSP Gupta said that a case has been filed against the suspect under the NDPS Act. OC

Five people are being charged with murder.

Nakodar: According to Railway police Station House Officer (SHO) Ashok Kumar, the five suspects have been identified as Riki, Ravi, Jaiki, Ajay, and Seema, all of whom are residents of Nakodar. The five have been charged with the murder of Manpreet Singh, alias Gora (32), a resident of Mohalla Ravi Das Pur.

The deceased’s father, Sukhdev Singh, informed the police that their meat business was located close to the railroad crossing. He alleged that his kid was killed by beatings and that his corpse was placed along the railroad tracks. According to the SHO, a complaint under IPC Section 302 (murder) has been filed against the suspects. For a post-mortem, the corpse had been transferred to the Civil Hospital.
