In Akola, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi proclaims his support for VBA president Prakash Ambedkar in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024

Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of AIMIM, has announced that his party will back Prakash Ambedkar, the leader of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), who is running for the Lok Sabha in 2024 from the Maharashtra constituency of Akola, according to news agency PTI.

AIMIM and VBA were notable allies for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, but the coalition fell apart during the Maharashtra state elections that same year.

“In our opinion, Dalits should take the lead. I urge the AIMIM team in Akola to support Prakash Ambedkar in the election,” Owaisi said on Tuesday, according to PTI.

Dr. B. R Ambedkar’s grandson is Prakash Ambedkar.

According to Owaisi, the AIMIM has announced Anis Sundke as its candidate for the next Lok Sabha elections of 2024, which will take place in Pune.

Additionally, Owaisi made an attempt to get in touch with Manoj Jarange, a Maratha quota campaigner, stating, “A person with a thin physique has shaken the state government.” I thought Jarange was going to start a political party. Because only after establishing a political party and winning elections will justice be served “, according to PTI.

In the elections, Owaisi said that all the parties were united against Imtiaz Jaleel, an AIMIM member from Aurangabad Lok Sabha.

“The BJP, two NCPs, two Shiv Senas, and half of the Congress have united. According to PTI, he said, “People should find out how they feel about the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, the National Register of Citizens (NRC), and the National Population Register (NPR).”

In the meantime, political parties have been requested by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to provide specifics on the origin, destination, and number of persons transported in planes and helicopters used for campaigning.

According to a letter dated April 12 from Tejas Samel, the deputy election officer for the Mumbai Suburban district, this information was formerly required to be provided three days before the trip to the district election office, but it is now just required to be provided 24 hours in advance, according to PTI.

“On April 17, we will issue an updated letter. They have to notify us 24 hours in advance instead of three,” Samel said to PTI on Tuesday evening.

Included in the data should be the kind of aircraft or helicopter as well as the passengers.

According to the letter, which was sent to the ECI and said that this information must be provided in accordance with the Model Code of Conduct in effect for the next Lok Sabha elections in 2024, PTI was informed.

The 48-seat Maharashtra Lok Sabha will be elected in five stages between April 19 and May 20, 2024.
