In Bhaderwah, the CRPF organizes a medical camp

The final panchayat in J&K that borders the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Thanahala, hosted a free specialized medical camp on Monday as part of the CRPF’s civic action program, according to authorities.

The day-long camp was hosted in the Dina Nagar hamlet in Thanahala, which is located in the foothills of Ashapati Glacier on the Bhaderwah-Chamba interstate route. According to them, the hamlet is mostly home to families that fall below the poverty line (BPL).

Although the paramilitary force’s primary duty is internal security, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jaishree Singh of the CRPF said that the force also always stands ready to help the people in times of need, such as during elections or natural disasters like earthquakes and landslides.

“Free treatment and medications were given to the patients who utilized the facility at their doorstep by a group of specialist physicians from the CRPF and the sub-district hospital in Bhaderwah,” the spokesperson said.

Thanahala Shakoor Ahmed, a former sarpanch, expressed gratitude to the 33 Battalion CRPF for setting up the camp and helping the residents. He remarked, “The CRPF is also educating us about government initiatives designed to uplift the poor.”

Aijaz Hussain Hamdan, a local, expressed gratitude for the CRPF’s efforts and said that the treatment his mother received from the female physicians gave his family a great deal of comfort.
