In the Rajouri incident, two fervent Pakistani militants and one soldier were killed

Two fervent Pakistani terrorists were killed by security forces on Thursday during a shootout in the Rajouri district of Jammu’s Kalakote jungle.

In the continuing conflict between militants and security personnel, another jawan lost his life on Thursday. With this, there have been five Army men murdered since yesterday.

On Wednesday, four soldiers—two captains and two jawans—were slain. Following the firefight, two troops and an Army major were taken to the Army’s Command Hospital in Udhampur for treatment.

Captain MV Pranjal (Karnataka), Captain Shubham Gupta (Agra), Havaldar Abdul Majid (Ajote, Poonch), Lance Naik Sanjay Bisht (Uttrakhand), and Paratrooper Sachin Laur (Aligarh, UP) are the troops who lost their lives, according to the Army.

This Friday, a wreath-laying ceremony honoring the fallen troops will take place.

One of the two terrorists who were murdered had training in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The terrorist was named as Quari by an Army source; a picture of him with a Rajouri area family, whose home he was hiding out in, has also emerged.

He said that the slain hardline terrorist was a citizen of Pakistan. He received training on both the Afghan and Pakistani fronts.

Quari, a top-ranking terrorist commander for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and his gang had been operating in Rajouri-Poonch for the previous year. He is also thought to be the mastermind of the terror acts in Kandi and Dangri. Terrorists shot and killed seven defenseless people in a targeted assault in Dangri.

Quari, who was proficient with IEDs, knew how to operate in and out of caves, and was a skilled marksman, was sent to resurrect terrorism in the area.
