India is a “old wine in a new bottle,” according to Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the opposition party, the INDI Alliance, deeming it “purana maal nayee packing mein” (old wine in a new bottle), on Friday when sounding the electoral horn from his Varanasi parliamentary seat.

“They come together ahead of every election and fall apart abusing each other after failing to score (‘nil battey sannata’),” he remarked, slamming the opposition. The Prime Minister referred to Rahul Gandhi as the “Yuvraj” of the Congress royal family and expressed shock at the word “nashedi,” or alcoholic, that he had used for the youth of Kashi and UP during his recent “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” in Amethi. He made these remarks while speaking at a series of public rallies, all of which were filled with tirades against the opposition bloc INDIA.

“Those who are not in their own senses, are calling UP youth, my children of Kashi alcoholics,” Modi continued, addressing a public rally in Karikhiyaon following the opening and laying of the foundation for 36 development projects valued at over Rs 13,000 crore. “Jinke apne hosh thhikane nahi hai, wo UP ke, mere kashi ke bachchon ko nashedi keh rahe hai,”

Varanasi had received the PM late on Thursday evening. “The common young force and its brilliance constantly challenge someone who is a member of a dynasty. They only like those who compliment them often. With the opening of the Ram Mandir, they now have even more cause to despise Uttar Pradesh. They don’t like Kashi and Ayodhya’s new appearance. I had no idea Congress had such much animosity for Lord Ram. The PM remarked, “They are blind to ideas that go beyond their vote bank and family.

He said that Varanasi voters were wise enough to see the opposition alliance’s “designs” and that they were prepared to give the NDA every Lok Sabha seat in the next elections. Previously, Modi has lashed out at the opposition, charging it of being fixated on caste and leading people astray for political advantage under the guise of “casteism.”

PM strikes back at Rahul Gandhi

In Varanasi, the prime minister took aim at Rahul Gandhi, stating that the ordinary young and their abilities always pose a danger to those who belong to a dynasty. “They only like those who compliment them often. And with the opening of Ram Mandir, they now have even more cause to despise UP. He continued, saying that the Congress was limited to thinking about their constituents and family. “They do not like the new face of Ayodhya.”
