Indian Railways: 24 trains headed for Delhi are running late because of the intense fog and poor visibility

Due to fog in various regions of the nation, up to 24 trains are anticipated to arrive late in the nation’s capital on Monday, according to railway authorities. The Northern Railways reports that at least five trains—the Seoni-Ferozpur Express, the Azamgarh-Delhi Jn. Kaifiyat Express, the Katihar-Amritsar Express, and the Ajmer-Katra Pooja Express—are more than four hours behind schedule.

According to railway authorities, the Ajmer-Katra Pooja Express is anticipated to reach six hours late, while the Saharsa-New Delhi Vaishali Express and the Ambedkarnagar-Katra Express are scheduled to arrive three hours late.

Thirty to one hour late, twelve trains
As many as twelve trains, including the Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, the Banglore-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Duronto Express, the Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express, the Prayagraj-New Delhi Express, the Rajendranagae-New Delhi Express, the Maa Belhi Devi Dham Pratapgarh-Delhi Express, the Chennai-New Delhi Express, the Hyderabad-New Delhi Express, and the Islampur-New Delhi Magadh Express are among the twelve trains that are running late, according to the officials.

North India is hit by a cold wave.
The India Meteorological Department predicts that chilly to very cold temperatures will persist across Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan for the next week, followed by a marked drop in temperature. Many areas of Punjab and Haryana get maximum temperatures between 9 and 12 degrees, whereas north Rajasthan, Delhi, northwest Madhya Pradesh, and some regions of Uttar Pradesh experience maximum temperatures between 13 and 16 degrees. Over these places, the temperature is 4–9 degrees below average.

The lowest temperatures in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, northwest Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand are between 6 and 15 degrees.
