IT investigators steal a fleet of luxury cars and take over a tobacco tycoon’s Delhi home, seizing Rs 4.5 crore in cash

A Rolls-Royce Phantom, McLaren, Lamborghini, and Ferrari—all valued at more than Rs 60 crores—were among the several opulent possessions that Income Tax officers discovered during their search on the Delhi home of the owner of Banshidhar Tobacco Company. IT investigators purportedly raided the Kanpur-based tobacco firm and found evidence of tax cheating, seizing Rs 4.5 crores as of Friday evening.

The Income Tax Department raided Banshidhar Tobao Private Limited, a Kanpur-based firm, on Thursday evening as part of a massive sweep. Teams from the government simultaneously searched the homes and workplaces of individuals connected to the organization in five states: Delhi, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Somalia. According to many sources, there were precisely fifteen to twenty persons participating in these searches.

Profits of Over Rs 100 Crores, But Only 20–25 Crores Are Reported
The IT department has reported serious irregularities in the business’s financial sheets, claiming that while the company reported earning Rs. 25 crores, its real revenue was estimated to be between Rs. 100 and Rs. 150 crores. The research also reveals that the company may have avoided paying GST obligations in addition to breaking income tax regulations, which allowed them to store expensive products.

Banshidhar Tobacco is owned by who?
KK Mishra, a prominent figure in the tobacco sector, is allegedly the primary culprit in this case. NDTV said that Banshidhar Tobacco is purportedly a supplier to some of the largest Pan Masala brands. But the business’s scion, son Shivam Mishra, seems to be the driving force behind the opulent flamboyance.

A Rolls-Royce Phantom, valued at ₹ 16 crore, was among the luxurious belongings parked at Shivam Mishra’s residence in Vasant Vihar. It’s interesting to see how many automobiles have the same license plate number, 4018. The opulent expenditure associated with the tobacco firm is revealed during the raids. During the raid, the investigating authorities reportedly took some electronic and documentary evidence, according to News18.
