Jangaon: After failing her 12th grade, a girl commits herself on a railway track

On Sunday, Sony, a 20-year-old female, committed herself on the train track that runs within the Jangaon Government Railway Police (GRP) jurisdiction between Ragunathpally and Yeswanthapur Station.

M Sony, a native of Ashwaraopalle village in Raghunathpalli Mandal of Jangaon district, was identified as the dead.

Locals reportedly discovered strewn-about body parts on the railroad tracks and alerted the authorities right away. The Government Railway Police (GRP) of Jangaon was notified by the police upon their arrival at the scene, and they subsequently retrieved the corpse.

As to Head Constable R Ramana Murphy of the Jangaon GRP, Sony was a second-year student pursuing a degree at a private institution. After learning that she had failed her tests, she allegedly committed herself by walking in front of a moving train.

For a postmortem, the corpse was sent to the morgue of the Jangaon Government Area Hospital. Later, her family members received the corpse. An inquiry is underway and a case has been filed.
