Kerala: 32 motorcycles used for stunts were confiscated and fined Rs 4.7 lakhs

In an effort to crack down on individuals doing bike stunts, the state police and the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) together launched a statewide operation on Saturday, during which they filed 32 arrests. Up to 32 motorcycles that were being used for risky and unlawful stunts were taken from the state.

26 offenders had their driving privileges revoked by the authorities, and they were also had to pay a fine of Rs 4.7 lakh. Additionally, actions have been taken to file charges against four individuals.

After discovering several social media accounts with footage of bike stunts uploaded, the departments made the decision to start a special effort. Several children were discovered to be involved in illicit bike racing throughout the journey, and they were using vehicles that had been modified without authorization.

After keeping an eye on the social media accounts, the traffic road safety unit was able to identify the violators.

Thirty-five two-wheelers that were racing were seized from the state in a similar cooperative effort that took place last October. Thirty individuals had their driving licenses canceled, and seven people had lawsuits filed against them. Additionally, Rs 3.5 lakh in fines from the offenders was obtained throughout the operation.
