Kerala Chief Minister Requests EAM Jaishankar To Ensure Indians’ Safety in Israel

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has requested External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to protect the safety of Indian residents in Israel as the conflict between the Hamas terrorist group and the Israeli defense forces rages on.

According to Vijayan, who expressed worry over the suffering of Indian nationals in Israel, 7,000 of them are from Kerala and the ongoing conflicts are putting them through great hardship and putting their family members through extreme fear.

The CM said in his letter dated October 9: “I implore your goodself to act in every means to safeguard the safety of our compatriots in Israel.

Nearly 1,600 people were killed in the unexpected Hamas onslaught on Israel over the weekend.

A lady from Kerala who was employed as a caregiver in Israel was also critically hurt by the Hamas strike and is now in the hospital.
