Kharge’s verbal blunder revealed Modi-Shah’s strategy over Article 371: Leading Congressman Jairam Ramesh

Home Minister Amit Shah allegedly became “agitated” after Mallikarjun Kharge unintentionally “exposed the Modi-Shah gameplan” to amend Article 371 pertaining to Nagaland, according to Congress politician Jairam Ramesh.

Ramesh said on X, “Now that they have cleared Article 370, Amit Shah got all excited and agitated because Khargeji accidentally exposed the Modi-Shah gameplan on Article 371.”

Earlier on Saturday, the Congress chairman claimed inadvertently that “Modi claims credit for abolishing Article 371” while speaking to an assembly in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Shah chastised him later for his “horrendous mistake.”
Ramesh elaborated on the remarks made by Kharge, the party president.

“Today, @INCIndia President Mallikarjun Kharge ji accidentally said that Modi takes credit for repealing Article 371 during his address in Jaipur. It’s obvious that Kharge Ji intended Article 370, Ramesh said in a post on X.

Ramesh emphasized that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi “in fact wants to change” a number of articles, the real attention should be on him, even though Kharge’s mistake may have generated confusion.

“Amit Shah attacked the Congress President right away. Article 371-A concerning Nagaland, Article 371-B concerning Assam, Article 371-C concerning Manipur, Article 371-F concerning Sikkim, Article 371-G concerning Mizoram, and Article 371-H concerning Arunachal Pradesh are all currently under Modi’s purview, Ramesh continued in his tweet.

“Incidentally, @kharge ji was the man singularly responsible for Article 371-J relating to the erstwhile Hyderabad-Karnataka region – which he got accomplished only after Dr. Manmohan Singh became PM,” Ramesh continued her statement.

Mallikarjun Kharge said in a video that Amit Shah posted on his X account earlier on Saturday, “They (the BJP) are coming here and saying that they removed 371.” What connection does it make to the individuals present? It’s OK if you go to Jammu and Kashmir to talk about it.

For the kind information of the Congress, the Modi administration repealed Article 370 rather than Article 371. But such heinous errors are just to be expected from Congress. Such mistakes committed by it have plagued our country for many years, Shah said.

Shah also attacked the Congress party over its National President Kharge’s remarks at a rally, claiming that the party’s “Italian culture” is mostly to blame for its inability to comprehend the fundamental nature of India.
