KTR participates in a road show to raise staff morale

Rangareddy: The BRS party was dealt a blow the day before when about a dozen party council members defected to the Congress, and party president K T Rama Rao participated in a road tour intended to demonstrate the party’s clout and provide support to the nominee who submitted his candidacy on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Congress and BRS candidates appeared to the Returning Officer’s office, which is housed inside the MRO Office Rajendranagar, to submit their applications.

Along with a few other Congress officials, sitting MP from Chevella Dr. Gaddam Ranjith Reddy, who just joined Congress, submitted the nomination earlier today.

A few hours later, Kasani Gyaneshwar, the BRS candidate, showed up at the returning officer’s office and submitted his paperwork.

In addition to Dr. Rajinth Reddy (INC) and Kasani Gyaneshwar (BRS), a total of 13 candidates from various political backgrounds filed their nominations on Tuesday, according to the District Election Officer. These candidates include Gone Srinivas Reddy (Independent), Phani Prasad Katakam (Social Justice Party of India), Sudhakar Vanam (Independent), Umesh Boya (Independent), Mohammad Pasha (Independent), Chintalagari Venkatswamy (Blue India Party), Bingi Ramulu (Yugathulasi), Marka Satish Sagar (Independent), Govind Lal (Independent), and Srdevi.M (Alliance of Democratic Reforms Party). Since he completed his first set on Monday, Kasani Gyaneshwar made his second appearance today.

Along with eleven other candidates from other political parties, K Vishweshwar Reddy, a former MP and BJP candidate, submitted his candidacy the day before.

More unexpected in Tuesday’s political campaign was the presence of the local BRS MLA Prakash Goud with party president KTR and former minister P Sabita Indra Reddy at a gathering intended to demonstrate the party’s strength as they went to submit the nomination of the party candidate.

A few days ago, there was discussion about Prakash Goud, the four-time MLA, perhaps joining the Congress party shortly after it was discovered that he was rubbing shoulders with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Since December, MLA Prakash Goud has been seen visiting the CM three times.

The local MLA, however, disputes all of the stories that suggested he may defect, claiming that the sessions were just held to talk about how his constituency was developing—a claim that the community finds very offensive.

The demonstration of strength occurred one day after over twelve council members from the Bandlaguda Jagir Municipal Corporation (BJMC) joined the Congress party, defying the leadership of the BRS in the Rajendranagar seat, which is headed by Prakash Goud.

Most Rajendranagar residents and BRS leaders think Prakash Goud has decided to change his allegiance and is only waiting for the right moment to bid the BRS farewell.

It has been discovered that the majority of BRS leaders and council members who joined the Congress party later than expected were dissatisfied with Prakash Goud’s leadership style and his disregard for them inside the party.

With 6,06,124 voters overall, Rajendranagar has the second-highest number of electors among the seven Chevella Lok Sabha segment seats, after Serilingampally.
