Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BJP leader K Annamalai claimed that DMK and AIADMK spent Rs. 1000 crore to sway votes

K Annamalai, the president of the BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit and a candidate from Coimbatore, attacked the opposition parties, the DMK and AIADMK, claiming that they had spent over Rs. 1000 crore in Coimbatore solely to sway voters as the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls for 39 seats in Tamil Nadu began on Friday.

Today marked the start of the first round of the 18th Lok Sabha elections, which will take place in 21 states and union territories (UTs). Annamalai voted at Uthupatti, Karur, at a voting place.

Ganapathy P. Rajkumar, the head of the DMK, and Singai Ramachandran, the AIADMK, are running against the BJP state president in Coimbatore.

The BJP’s candidate for Coimbatore said he would quit politics that day if the opposition could provide even one individual who might claim that a BJP member was attempting to influence them.

The actions of the DMK and AIADMK in Coimbatore are being observed by everybody. In Coimbatore, around 1000 crores have been invested. Annamalai said, “I am running in this election as a matter of principle, so if they can get one voter in front of the media to say that some BJP person is trying to influence them, I will leave politics the same day,” according to ANI.

“DMK believes it can purchase people with money, and AIADMK shares this belief. Over the last two to three days, Coimbatore officials have lost their vision. The collector has received several complaints from our personnel. He said, “It is not neutral; action has not been taken.”

With assurance, he predicted that the BJP will cross the 25 per cent threshold on its own and achieve double-digit numbers in the next elections.

“Today, I fulfilled my democratic duty. This is a crucial responsibility for all Indian people, since they are the ones who keep our democracy alive in India. We have a great deal of confidence that decent individuals and government will once again win the trust of the populace. I have no doubts whatsoever that Tamil Nadu will undergo a momentous transformation. Everyone will be respected for their dedication to the cause, according to Annamalai.

He criticized the INDIA group for remaining silent about its choice for prime minister, saying, “The opposition is clueless.” The INDIA group has not yet declared who would run for prime minister. The Tamil Nadu people are entitled to an explanation. Tamil Nadu has profited in every way, including financial contributions and the recognition and honor bestowed to the Tamil language.
