MD of HMWSSB examines water supply

Within twelve hours, residential areas will get water supplies from water tankers. This choice was made on Friday during the summer review meeting. Senior authorities and HMWSSB managing director Sudarshan Reddy reviewed summer operations and tanker management on Tuesday.

The MD of the Water Board issued directives to resolve pollution and freshwater supply issues as soon as possible, with a focus on managing sewage water.

Over 1.68 lakh trips were made throughout the whole month of March, indicating a sharp increase in the city’s need for water tankers. Up until April 22, the Water Board has registered 1.67 lakh journeys in only 22 days in April. Compared to March, more filling stations, filling points, and tankers have been created to accommodate this demand. According to a senior official, distributing water by tankers at night has also greatly decreased the pendency.
