Beginning on December 15, Air India will operate nonstop flights from Mumbai, Australia, to Melbourne, making history. Travelers are excited about the airline’s latest announcement since it would provide a direct flight between Melbourne, a thriving metropolis, and Mumbai, a busy city.

The airline is prepared to link these two unique locations three times a week with this amazing service. Air India will be bolstering ties between Australia and India by bringing an incredible 40,000 seats per year to the Australian state of Victoria with this new route.

Travelers looking for low-cost alternatives will be happy to learn that special economy class rates begin at Rs 49,000, guaranteeing a comprehensive experience. Flight AI-310 will arrive in Melbourne at 6.10 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 12.50 am, for those who want to experience this thrilling trip. On the same days, the return flight is planned to take off from Melbourne at 8 p.m. and arrive in Mumbai at 2:35 a.m. local time.

Additionally, utilizing Delhi or Mumbai as their gateway, tourists from 17 Indian cities can enjoy the ease of one-stop connections to and from Melbourne. With the help of Delhi and Mumbai, this new route will provide smooth two-way connectivity between London Heathrow and Melbourne.

Air India intends to use Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners for these trips, providing a pleasant flying experience. There are plenty of alternatives for passengers on this airplane since it has 238 seats in Economy Class and 18 flat beds in Business Class.

As part of its attempts to strengthen its position in the area, Air India is expanding. With 28 weekly flights between India and Australia, the airline now offers daily service from Delhi to Melbourne and Sydney. With an estimated population of over 200,000, the Indian community in Victoria is sizable and accounts for a sizable percentage of the Indian diaspora in Australia.

The goal of launching this new route is to meet the growing demand for travel in the area, whether it be for business or pleasure and to see friends and family. The airline is thrilled about the new nonstop route, says Air India Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer Nipun Aggarwal, adding that it represents a major turning point in the carrier’s continuous transformation drive.
