Nine people, three of them children, are murdered when a vehicle and a tractor crash in Khagaria, Bihar

In the Khagaria region of Bihar, nine people—three of them children—were murdered when their vehicle struck a tractor head-on on Monday morning, according to authorities.

They added that six other persons were hurt in the collision that occurred at around 6.30 in the morning next to a gas station on National Highway-31 in the Pasraha district.

“The catastrophe occurred while the people inside the vehicle were on their way back from a wedding. An officer of the law said, “The tractor was overloaded.”

According to him, the wounded people were admitted to a neighboring medical facility.

Gautam Thakur, 32, Monu Kumar, 7, Aman, 25, Bunty, Anshu, 23, Paltu, 50, Dilo Kimar, 10, Prakash Singh, and Dharmendra Sharma were the names of the dead. According to the police, they were all in the vehicle.

“An investigation is underway,” said Chandan Kushwaha, superintendent of police. Post-mortem exams of the corpses are being submitted.
