The suspects who were arrested include Jhony Kumar, also known as Jhony Malwa, who is 25 years old; his wife Parjeta, who is 19; his mother, Neelam Khosla; and one Sonia Rani, who lives in Kot Mangal Singh.

In this respect, DSP STF Ajay Kumar and Inspector STF Harbans Singh released a joint statement. On April 14, information on Jhony and his wife’s lengthy history of heroin smuggling was obtained, according to STF officers. They would transport heroin from the Shahkot area, and Neelam and Sonia would sell heroin to their customers from their home.

According to intelligence, the accused were traveling from the Shahkot side via Hambran village to Ludhiana. As a result, a naka was placed where their automobile was likely to be intercepted. 800 g of heroin and Rs 2 lakh in drug money were found during the car’s search, and Jhony and Parjeta were taken into custody. Jhony disclosed during interrogation that he had just been released from Ludhiana prison on bail and that he was also the subject of a narcotics smuggling case that had been filed against him in the past. Once released on bond, he resumed his smuggling. Neelam and Sonia said that in addition to selling boutique goods, they also smuggled heroin in order to supplement their income.
