Dibrugarh, Assam: Seven buildings are destroyed by fire

A fire that started on Saturday in Dibrugarh, Assam, destroyed as many as six or seven dwellings, according to authorities.

Hours after the fire incident, Dibrugarh Municipality Vice President Ujjwal Phukan told ANI, “We have not received any information on the number of casualties or anything, the only information that we have so far is that 6-7 houses have caught fire.”

He said, “We heard that two cylinders exploded as well.”

They claimed they were looking into the fire’s precise cause.

Firefighters raced to the area as soon as they got the news and got to work putting out the fire.
