On September 13, President Murmu will essentially begin the “Ayushman Bhava” Campaign

The innovative ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign will be launched on September 13, 2023, by President Droupadi Murmu, in a ceremony that is expected to transform healthcare accessibility and inclusion across the nation.

This historic event, which will take place virtually, will represent a major step toward attaining Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and guaranteeing access to healthcare for everyone.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as well as Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare SP Singh Baghel and Bharati Pravin Pawar, Member (Health), NITI Aayog VK Paul, and several Members of Parliament will attend the event.

Virtually all States and Union Territories have Governors, Chief Ministers, State Ministers, and their officials invited to participate from various sectors.

From the District, Block, and Health and Wellness Centers in their villages, a sizable number of public leaders, beneficiaries, and participants will also be present.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India launched the “Ayushman Bhav” program, a comprehensive national healthcare project that aspires to offer saturation coverage of healthcare services, reaching every village and town in the nation.

This innovative project represents a paradigm change in healthcare services and builds on the Ayushman Bharat program’s success.

The campaign, which will be carried out from September 17 to October 2, 2023, during “Seva Pakhwada,” represents a national and social approach. It unifies communities, civil society groups, and government agencies under a single goal: to guarantee that everyone has access to basic healthcare without discrimination or exclusion.

The Gram Panchayats, in collaboration with the Department of Health, other government agencies, and regional elected bodies in both urban and rural regions, are leading the Ayushman Bhav campaign.

In order to ensure that no one is left behind, its main goal is to provide full healthcare coverage to every hamlet and town, regardless of location.

Through its three components, this synergistic method seeks to completely cover the cost of health care. Ayushman – Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Melas at Community Health Centers (CHCs), and Ayushman Sabhas in every village and panchayat are all part of the Ayushman program.

To ensure that more people have access to critical healthcare services, the Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0 program intends to provide Ayushman cards to remaining eligible participants registered in the PM-JAY plan.

The establishment of ABHA IDs (Health IDs) and the issue of Ayushman Bharat Cards would be made easier through Ayushman Melas at HWCs and CHCs under Ayushman Bharat. Additionally, they will provide early diagnosis, thorough primary healthcare, teleconsultations with experts, and suitable referrals.

The distribution of Ayushman cards, the creation of ABHA IDs, and the promotion of important health programs and disease conditions, such as non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis (Nikshay Mitra), sickle cell disease, as well as blood donation and organ donation drives will all be accomplished through the use of Ayushman Sabhas in every village and Panchayat.

The goal of the Ayushman Bhav program is to establish “Healthy Villages” and “Healthy Gram Panchayats,” building the groundwork for the nation to achieve Universal Health Coverage.

The coveted title of “Ayushman Gram Panchayat” or “Ayushman Urban Ward” will be awarded to panchayats who effectively implement the health programmes, signifying their commitment to providing fair healthcare.
