One is booked in Phagwara for reckless driving

Phagwara: A person has been charged by the Shahkot police with inflicting serious harm by reckless driving on a public road, mischief, and endangering the life and personal safety of others. Manpreet Singh, a Kotla Suraj Mall resident, has been identified as the suspect, according to investigating officer (IO) Parwinder Singh. Dhando Wal village resident Jang Sher Singh reported to the police that on the evening of March 25, he was struck by the suspect, who was operating his car carelessly. The accident caused harm to him. Sections 279, 337, 338, and 427 of the Indian Penal Code have been invoked in the suspect’s case.

A man is accused of assault.

Phagwara: A suspect has been charged with assaulting two ladies by the Nurmahal police. Gurmail Singh, a resident of Kot Badal Khan village, has been identified as the suspect, according to investigating officer (IO) Jagjit Singh. The same village resident, Ramanjit Kaur, reported to the police that on April 4, the suspect had attacked her and her sister-in-law. The ladies were also threatened by the suspect. A case has been filed under the IPC’s Sections 323, 324, and 506. OC

Arrested is a drug dealer

Phagwara: On Sunday night, the Satnampura police apprehended a drug dealer and took 220 intoxicating pills out of his hands. SHO According to Gaurav Dhir, Shivam, a resident of Lamian Mohalla, Phagwara, was apprehended at a checkpoint close to Law Gate, Miherru. The suspect has been named in a case lodged under the NDPS Act. OC

Trader of alcohol in police net

Phagwara: On Sunday night, the police detained a booze dealer and found twelve bottles of illegal alcohol in his hands. Balwinder Singh, a native of Rihana Jattan hamlet close to Phagwara, has been named as the suspect. There is a registered case under the Punjab Excise Act.
